The article is devoted to the urgent issue of recovery of philological approach positions to the study on literary speech. The article reviews peculiarities of the modern science attitude to philology. The authors define limits of the concepts “philology” and “philological approach”, defend the necessity of philological approach usage within the literary speech analysis. The article proves the urgency of a widespread use of the cognitive discourse approach offered to analyze a dramaturgic text as well as within the analysis of a literary text of other genre.
