In this article influence of television on development of mentality of the child at younger school age is considered. Now the television is the most available media. The problem of mental development of younger school students is one of actual problems of modern children's psychology. As a result of the research conducted by us it was revealed that frequent viewing of television programs influences such mental features of children of younger school age, as an emotional condition, intellectual development, attention and the motivational sphere.
