The article provides analysis the theoretical aspects of the appearance and development of the information society. Special emphasis is placed on the consideration of the concepts of «information» and «image». Through the prism of the information society discusses the current phase of the activity a Person Travelling - one of the cultural phenomena of the twentieth century.
