In article the main stages of development of the sphere of public relations are stated. The author claims that today relevance of studying of PR communications is determined by that the success of this or that organization or the enterprise depend on their ability to draw attention of authorities, commercial partners and mass media to own activity and to society problems. From their ability effectively to position the social value of a product, purposefully achieving the positive attitude of society towards him.
