Semiotic and functional characteristics of emotive vocabulary in political discourse

The article deals with semiotics of political discourse, represented by the system of emotive signs. General classification of emotive vocabulary is examined. Typology of signs of political discourse is specified, which includes signs of integration, orientation and agonality. The use of these signs is analyzed in D. Trump's speech from an emotive point of view. It is concluded that the modern political language has emotional characteristics. They help to achieve success in public speaking.
