Historical background of the transcreation process

The article discusses and analyzes the term transcreation first definitions, which later served as a theoretical foundation for the formation of a clear understanding of the concept, areas of application and features of the use of transcreation as a special segment in the language services. The primary task of the article is to form the clearest possible understanding of the transcreation process based on scientists’ works from different periods, studying transcreation, both from the side of theoretical linguistics and the applied linguistics.
