THE ADEQUACY OF THE TRANSFER OF REALITIES AND DEVIATION FROM THE STANDARDS IN A COMPLEX MULTI-STAGE TRANSLATION

2021. №4, pp. 19-25

Amrakhova Rena Firudin - Baku Slavic University

This article considers one of the least studied types of translation, namely multi-stage translation, which determines the relevance of the chosen topic. The article is innovative in nature, as it is saturated with new material and thus has a more modern character. The works of prominent Russian and European linguists listed in the article, who were more or less engaged in this problem, as it turns out, were written in the 1970s and 1980s and relied on the technological capabilities of those long-ago years. The article is divided into a number of points, or steps, which reflect the individual and successive stages of the translator's work. Each stage is followed by a small comment, and then it is expanded in terms of the execution of the corresponding actions by the translator. Each of the functions described in the article corresponds to the above points in its internal content. This is the responsibility of a specialist for an extremely accurate (adequate) translation of the title of the work. Then the correct recognition of individual tokens and expressions. Then the search for equivalents for metaphors, idioms and some other types of tropes follows along the chain. A well-known place in the article is also occupied by the theory of transferring individual words from one column to another in order to correct mistakes previously made by the translator. The article is enriched by the fact that the evidence system relies on modern translations. Thus, three novels of the prominent Azerbaijani writer Chingiz Abdullayev, "The Court of the Wrong", "His True Passion" and "The Valor of Giants", translated in 2018, came into view. Moreover, in each case, a translator is specified, so that the examples are taken from these works and thereby concretize both the text itself and indicate the intentions of specialists.

Key words: multi-stage translation, language flair, translation, artwork, text paradigm, Azerbaijani literature
