COMMUNICATION-PRAGMATIC FUNCTIONS OF EXPRESSING EMOTIONAL STATES IN THE PUBLICISTIC DISCOURSE

The author focuses on the study of communicative - pragmatic functions of means of expressing the emotional states in the publicistic discourse. The novelty of this study is that the statements analyzed are characterized not only by the specificity of lexical composition, but also by syntax, graphic, stylistic means also constitute a value for studying both the text’s emotivnost and modern processes that change the language. The purpose of this work is to identify and characterize the functional potential of emotivs in the discursive space of modern Russian journalism. The results of the study showed that reference to the study of emotional expressions in the aspect of pragmatic analysis allows to determine the reasons for selection of these units from a number of alternative ones, as well as to identify speech meaning.
