This article is devoted to the study of linguoacoustics, which is the basis of communication. The results of a comparative analysis of the linguoacoustic samples of the Russian and English languages give us a clear idea about that the thoughts enclosed in words and letters of a foreign language reveal a linguoacoustic image that differs or is significantly different from the usual linguoacoustic image of the native language. Thus, the author’s conviction on that that the thoughts in all languages are the same, only the forms for all languages are different, is confirmed. When starting to learn another language, you should understand and comprehend this difference in order to avoid a discrepancy between the spoken phrase and the linguoacoustic way that occurs when thoughts are voiced in speech in a foreign language, on which the success of communication in another language directly depends. Therefore, the process of mastering a foreign language should begin with conversational learning. This is especially significant for languages that have significant differences between pronunciation and writing. In this case linguoacoustics is of paramount importance, since it sets directionы for a person in learning a foreign language, supporting this process with a gold standard of correct speech pattern, which provides the necessary basis for mastering communication in a foreign language at a conscious level.
