The article traces the dynamics of representations in the sphere of genre. The author, analyzing different views of scientists on the problem of the systematization of literary genres, comes to the conclusion that the communicative strategy of the story lies at the basis of creating the semantic space of the artistic world of the work, which determines the main components of the artistic structure. The possibility of combining the features of different genres is created at the expense of the generality of their problems, the satirical and philosophical types of fiction, the ironic author's intention, the epic of artistic thinking, and also with the allegorical characterization and metaphorization of the narrative.
