MASCULINE AND FEMININE MANIPULATIVE TACTICS IN SITUATION OF FLIRTATION (GENDER-SEMIOTICAL ASPECT)

The article is devoted to language peculiarities of masculine and feminine manipulative tactics in situations of flirtation. Taking into account the nonverbal component of speech, the author analyzes flirtation on the base of complex communicative wholes. The research is conducted on the samples of English and American literature of the XIX-XX centuries. On realizing their communicative intentions, participants of the communicative situation “Flirtation” use special manipulative verbal and nonverbal tactics. The comparative analysis of masculine and feminine communicative behaviour from the point of view of different manipulative tactics is given in the article. The author suggests that masculine communicative behaviour is presented mainly by tactics of compliment, self-presentation and encouraging. Feminine communicative behaviour is presented by tactics of compliment and self-presentation. The non-verbal behaviour of communicators of both gender is various and presents a wide range of non-verbal manipulative tactics (pantomimic, proxemic, tactile, visual, mimic non-verbal components).
