This article is dedicated to the professional self-determination of high school students. Professional identity is an important process in the life of every person, determining its future success and satisfaction in the labor area of his life. An important stage of career choice and scope of training accounts for youth age when yet fully formed life purpose and understanding. At this stage it is important to identify those factors that contribute to or impede successful professional self-determination. The choice of profession is present in the life of every high-schooler, and some cope with it successfully. For others, this choice turns out to be difficult. Certain personality factors may successfully allow to define themselves professionally, and other personality traits can hamper the successful determination. In the pedagogical process and the process of psychological support of students, it is necessary to consider and develop emotional intelligence, which allows you to make a successful professional choice.
