The article presents the analysis of the problem of creativity and creative activity in modern psychology and pedagogy. The research formed ideas of the humanistic philosophy of free and comprehensive development of personality, the axiological concepts of personal training, system, student-centered, subject-activity; phenomenological approaches. Creative activity is interpreted by the authors as characteristic of the activity, which manifests itself in the intensity of intensity of work, the originality of the used mental operations, efficiency, aesthetic value of their knowledge. As a result of creative activity becomes one of the most important characteristics of the individual student, allowing him to successfully adapt to the rapidly changing socio-cultural environment.
