Historical hermeneutics shows, that the most patriotic pages of national histories make a lot of troubles from the point of view of verification. Reliability is not the basic advantage of such "histories", its main goal is the psychological influence on emotional patriotic feelings. Historical reliability contradicts with national pride. If the duty of the citizen forces us to choose us the second, the duty of a scientist is to guard and protect scientific reliability. In article considered to attempt a system sight at known events of XIII century, long time being a subject of national pride of Russians becomes. In actual fact there is the next political mythology convenient for patriotic education, but not comprehensible from the point of view of scientific reliability. The conflict between patriotism and scientific reliability is the main problem of revision and official history correction.
