The category of corporality is principal in poetic discourse of imagists. It appears on all the levels of speech structure of their literary works (in the speech of narrator and characters) and on the level of plot arrangement (situations describing intimate details of characters’ life, transfer of human physiology details to the image of revolution and post-revolutionary life in Russia). Frequent use of such words as “flesh”, “womb”, “body”, and increased attention to the gender constituent of discourse are inherent to the poetry of imagist. The basic trope patterns are created on the basis of physiological constituents.
