Мифопоэтический мотив Мирового древа в стихотворениях К. Бальмонта

The research subject of the article are the written in verse texts of poet, written in the first decade of the 20th century, in which the perception of the world tree motive by Balmont is reflected. The aim of the article is to study the development of this motive and to determine its role in the poetry of Balmont. The purpose of the research caused the methodological basis of this work: historical and literary, comparatively- typological, hermeneutic. Mythopoetic world tree motive has become one of the components of the leading motive of unity between man and the universe in K. Balmont’ work. Leitmotiv image – symbol of the world tree, going from one poem to another, from book to book, shows the indissoluble link of the poet’s works, and is a means of combining the individual poems and even creative period (collections) of K. Balmont in a single growing poetic text. The research results can be used in the development of lectures on basic and special courses on the history of Russian literature of the 20th century in University teaching and in school practice, as well as further study of K. Balmont’s creative heritage and history of Russian literature of the late 19th-early 20th century.
