At the interdisciplinary level, within the framework of a large-scale scientific study of the media in the conditions of state self-identification (on the example of the Donetsk People's Republic), the article examines the language of the Donbass printing system during the formation of the Stalin region (July 17, 1932). For the first time, on the basis of documentary information from the State Archives of the DPR, a detailed list of functioning publications in historical, glocal, global and linguistic aspects is presented. This approach allows drawing parallels, discovering similarities and differences with modern processes, as well as identifying causal relationships that led to armed confrontation, as a result of which the Donbass media system is considered not only as a means of media-linguistic and stylistic information confrontation, but also as one of the signs of statehood.

Key words: language, linguistics, press, press printed organ, newspaper, mass media, self-identification, system, ideology
