The article revises the cognitive hermeneutic modeling method within the process of the dominant concept identifying within a literary text. The author compares the method of full sample picking and the method of cognitive hermeneutic modeling and proves that the method of full sample picking does not give sufficiently accurate results in identifying the nominees included in the nominative field of the dominant concept, while the method of cognitive hermeneutic modeling allows to get a more precise result.
