REFLECTION OF MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE IN ORDINARY CONSCIOUSNESS

This article discusses the interpretation of scientific medical terms in the minds of French - speaking students of the Astrakhan State Medical University. Students at the beginning of their education are the representatives of everyday consciousness. Medical terms that students study in the first year often function in the ordinary consciousness in a distorted form. It is because they are based on associations, feelings which a person has in the process of cognition and, therefore, must be interpreted. In the process of learning, there is a need to clarify the personal meanings that medical students have in the interpretation of special terms. In this article the author gives several definitions of the concept of “knowledge”. Moreover the author explains the close relationship of everyday and scientific knowledge, where everyday knowledge is the base of scientific knowledge. The article gives the results of research about the level of medical terminology knowledge of French - speaking medical students and its influence on previously formed knowledge. The author gives in the article examples of the perception and rethinking of medical terms based on common knowledge and the formation of scientific knowledge to develop the medical language in the consciousness of students and its competent use in the future.
