TO THE QUESTION OF LINGUISTIC BORROWINGS IN THE FRENCH LANGUAGE

In this article, the borrowing process is seen as one of the ways to enrich the French language. For many centuries, the French language is replenishing its vocabulary with many languages of the world. This is due to various extra and intralinguistic factors, such as territorial location, long-term relationships between countries that are both peaceful and aggressive. Particular attention is paid to borrowings of English origin. In this article, the phenomenon of linguistic mimicry is considered, which is one of the most actual nowadays. The analysis of the obtained results is carried out, statistical data are given.
