The author considers the possibility of isolation of the nominal part in phrases such as: il est heureux / il part heureux / il parle sec . The criteria distinguishing these structures from the combination predicate + detached attribute are as follows: semantic compatibility of the verb and adjective, the communicative task of the sentence, the intonation and structure features, the type of expansion of the combination components, their functions as the homogeneous parts of the sentence.
