HOMELAND IN “CURSED DAYS” I.A. BUNIN AND “WHAT'S SAUCE FOR THE GOOSE” MOHAMMAD ALI JAMALZADEH

Country of birth is an important place in the works of immigrant authors from Russia and Iran. A Country is not considered only as a place that humans live in for a while, but it is a sacral symbol. “Cursed Days” by Bunin and “What's Sauce for the Goose” by Jamal-zadeh, were both written in the midst of a revolution. One, being the 1917 revolution in Russia and the other, in dissatisfaction with the situation in the country after the Constitutional Revolution 1905-1911 in Iran. In “Cursed Days”; Bunin expressed his compassion and regret, over the future of Russia. According to him, the country's separation of religion and beliefs, has haunt him and Russia can be built again, only by returning to this principle. In addition, Jamal-zadeh used satire to describes the events that are taking place in Iran.
