“Vital” motives in prose of Gaito Gazdanov

“Vital” motives are motives, thematically connected with the triumph of life energy and life itself. Thanks to them, the tragic, inconsolable, contradictory model of the world in G. Gazdanov's wоrks, formed by a complex of existential motifs, changes: the contradictions within the hero and the conflict between him and the surrounding world are smoothed out.
