In the article the problem of ethnonational mentality on the example of the North Caucasian poetry. The desire to reproduce the evolution of the national character was inherently and by adjusting Fine funds system. In the literature of the mountain there was a tradition "chanting" his people. The problem of ethno-national mentality in the context of cultural traditions in its value-cognitive aspect is shown by the example of the poetic works of the woman of the North Caucasus.
