Being unique phenomenons of human existence, the categories of space and time deserve a special interpretation as a way to organize aesthetic reality of a literary work. The chronotop of the poem “Julio” which was written by M.Yu. Lermontov in 1830 is being examined in this article. Mary symbolic toposes and temporal concepts which have ambiguous manifestation are represented in the literary work. Ambivalence of symbols actualizes a method of dissonance which in typical for creativity by Lermontov and contains both international and unconscious using of inconsistencies and contradiction in literary structure of the text.
