The paper analyzes lexical and morphological borrowings in Erz’a dialects of the Volga region and the Southern Urals. There are numerous lexical and morphological borrowings from the Russian language in the dialects. Lexical units are often borrowed not only for the designation of new concepts, but also for the replacement of native lexical units. Under the influence of the Russian language the destruction of agglutination is observed in the grammatical system. This phenomenon can be seen in the declension system, and in the system of mood forms.
