TEXT ADAPTATION AS TRANSFORMATION OF INFORMATION IN THE POPULAR MEDICAL DISCOURSE

The article deals with the review of communicative features of popularization and adaptation of medical texts. The primary goal of medical text adaptation for a broad audience is the choice of relevant information based on a naГЇve view of the world, focus on symptoms. Adaptation is transformation of the original text for intended addressee and the text can be either real or potentially constructible. Popularization is not only transformation of professional skills into a format known to an average culture representative but an educational activity. Adapted communicative style revealed to shorten conversational distance, enhance emotional timing, increase active constructions and to use visual components of the text.
