EXPRESSION OF ATTRIBUTION NUMERALS IN THE INGUSH LANGUAGE

Article is devoted to a problem of attributive function by numerals which is low-investigated so far and, respectively, a debatable subject in linguistic researches. Many linguists, concerning problems of the Caucasian linguistics, noted strong likeness of functions of adjectives and numerals and called some forms of numerals with attributive function by “adjectives numerals”. In special literature the numeral is defined as a class of the meaning-bearing words designating quantity, a measure and cogitative categories of an order connected with number at the account, frequency rates (repeatability), sets. Thus, the numeral is the part of speech expressing a lexical meaning of quantity that is is a spokesman of quantitative sign of a subject. It is necessary to explain that the class of the words expressing this or that sign of a subject, the phenomena in linguistics is defined as attribute. That is, the numeral in scientific literature is defined as the part of speech acting as definition. And the term “attributive relations” in this aspect is understood as most too, as the attributive relations. Respectively, the numeral is a spokesman of the attributive (attributive) relations.
