THE ORNITHOLOGICAL SYMBOLISM IN THE LYRICS OF ALEXEI ACHAIR

The article deals with the ornithological symbolism in the poetry of the first Russian emigration wave on the example of Alexei Achair’s lyrics. The image of the dove conveys the sense of home protection, high aspirations, faith, the incarnation of the God Spirit and beloved person; the image of the Swan has the meaning of a true love, a beloved person, poetry, misery and mourning; the image of the swallow is used to transmit meanings associated with the home, freedom and hope. The image of wings in the poetry of A. Achair has symbolism associated with speed, quickness, protection, freedom, dream, soul, faith, herald, time, pleasantness, help and hope.
