THE UKRAINIAN CONFLICT REFLECTED IN THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

The article considers English and Russian lexical units denoting participants of the conflict in the east of Ukraine, changes in the analyzed words’ meaning caused by the context, the words pragmatic characteristics and variants of translation. The choice of the words is pragmatically determined, it is predetermied by the edition’s political orientation and the function of distinguishing between “native- alien” when forming the public opinion.
