Article is devoted to creativity of the known Russian of the writer of L. Petrushevsky. It is considered how from the first steps in a literary field, in the works written in the most different genre and style forms, Petrushevsky finds new approach to reality display. It served as the reason of negative attitude to creativity of the writer from criticism of that time. On the basis of the analysis the conclusion that L.Petrushevskaya, along with many other writers, made the contribution to updating of literature of Post-Soviet time is drawn.
