The article is devoted to the study of the oeuvre of P.S. Komarov (1911-1949), an original Far Eastern poet of the 30-40s of the 20th century, whose poetry was awarded a high state award (The Stalin¢s award, 1950). The subject of the study was the substantial, artistic and valuable beginning of the cycle «Golden clearing », which includes seventeen poems written in 1938-1941s. The cycle is representative of the character of Komarov’s oeuvre. The study contributes to the study of literature of the Far East and supplements the picture of the development of such a phenomenon as «the soviet literature». The relevance of the study is due to interest in literary regional studies. The poems of the cycle are considered as an artistic unity, reflecting the poet's worldview. It is revealed that the image of the lyrical hero Komarov is typical of Soviet poetry, it is the builder of « the new world». At the same time, the hero is a bearer of universal moral qualities: a sense of camaraderie, patriotism, serving a great goal (homeland, science, enlightenment). The article shows that in the artistic world of Komarov, the lyrical hero is inextricably linked with nature; traces the typology of lyrical characters in the verses of the cycle. As a result of the analysis, artistic means were revealed that made it possible to create an image of a person in the system of his natural and social connections: the metaphors, the personifications, the use of topography as an element of the chronotope.
