LEXICAL AND SEMANTIC FIELD В«COLORВ» IN THE LANGUAGE OF MEDICINE

This article is devoted to the lexical-semantic field "color" in the English language. The basic properties of the lexico-semantic field "color" in the language of medicine, medical terms on the material of the English language are analyzed. The features of color designation of English speakers in the language of medicine, as well as specific features of medical terms are revealed. The system of color names and its main features are considered, chromatic and achromatic color values, differences in the color of prescription drugs, changes in the visual characteristics of the tablet are presented; it is revealed that some terms in the English language change their semantics in the modern world of the language of medicine. It is proved that the predominant phraseological units with components white - white, blue - blue, red - red, black - black, yellow - yellow .It is noted that medical vocabulary combines special and non-special medical names functioning in scientific and other subsystems of the language . Different types of fields are distinguished: semantic, morphosemantic, associative, grammatical, syntagmatic. The presented terms concretize the disease, expand the professional picture of the world of a medical specialist, and also indicate the development of medicine, and its language, carry complex information about the disease, drug, symptom, etc. It is noted that the color lexemes are part of the medical terminology as symbols of the nominations of various diseases, skin color, names of blood cells, the appearance of the patient, especially the body.
