Poetry occupies an important position in our life and plays an important role. There have always been excellent poets in the history of literature. Each poet has his/her own characteristics and style of writing, which are closely related to the poet’s character and social background. Their poems brought the readers deep impressions and great pleasure. They can make psychic communications with their readers through their poems. Anna Andreyevna Akhmatova is a representative of the Acme School and one of the most talented poets in Russia. Her talent enabled her to express what she saw and felt in poetry. Whenever one reads Anna Andreyevna Akhmatova’s works, he/she can’t help thinking of Li Qingzhao, a brilliant female poet in the history of Chinese literature. Li Qingzhao is a representative figure of the graceful poets in the Song Dynasty of China. These two unique poets have some similarities. They have made remarkable achievements in the literary world and left valuable wealth for the world cultural heritage. This thesis focuses on their similarities on birth background, life experiences, changes in their writing styles and amazing artistic achievements.
