The object of the article is emоtion as an indispensable attribute of creative communicatively oriented method of teaching foreign languages. According to “the information theory of emotions” they are inherently connected with the intellectual activity such as teaching - learning and can motivate and activate this process. So the problem that the teaching practice is faced with nowadays is to employ less the traditionally used left cerebral hemisphere in which information of a foreign language is acquired by cognitive analysis, statistical calculations, systemic and structural arrangement of linguistic data (which is quite inappropriate to the formation of communicative competence) but more reasonably through the right cerebral hemisphere - the sphere of emotional motivation and subconscious suggestion which can be achieved only in free and easy surroundings of joyful, kind-hearted relations of mutual understanding, encouragement and help. The author of the article suggests some ways for the teachers to penetrate into the sphere of the subconscious: the application of “the Stanislavskiy system”, the principles and technology of G.C. Lozanov and his followers and the base of the unconditional reflexes of self-development, discovered by scientists of the Pavlov school. These reflexes are: a research reflex, a reflex of overcoming resistance, reflexes of game and imitation. The teachers’ task is to learn how to base oneself upon these inherent reflexes as a reliable phylogenetic foundation in their practical teaching work.
