The article discusses the features of formation of cognitive universal educational actions in children of primary school age in the classroom for fine art. Cognitive universal educational actions are represented as action, ensuring the process of cognition, the creative mental process of obtaining and updating knowledge. The objectives of the pilot study were: to organize the classroom activities driving the implementation of children's cognitive universal educational actions; to promote the formation of students skills to perform the OOD. The article contains a description of the programs, according to which cognitive universal educational actions, including learning, logic, and the validity of the formulation and solution of problems generated in the process of working on artwork when the child needs additional information to produce the desired result. The authors present experimental results on the formation of cognitive universal educational actions younger schoolboys by means of the activity approach.
