AXIOLOGICAL COMPONENT OF THE CONCEPT “FASHION” IN RUSSIAN AND AMERICAN LINGUISTIC CULTURES

In this article the authors study and analyse the axiological component of the linguacultural concept “fashion” in Russian and American societies. The written questionnaire included 120 and 102 answers of the representatives of the above-mentioned linguacultures correspondently. It made it possible to discover essential features that people associate with the notion of fashion. The authors define general spheres where fashion is mentioned and divide the respondents’ answers in accordance with the reactions obtained.
