This article deals with compensation for damage as a form of civil - legal responsibility. The study is based on an act of unlawful interference, which has the nature of a legal fact, as entails certain legal consequences in the form of harm to human life and health, property damage, or create a threat of such consequences. Types of offenses that are by their nature acts of unlawful interference, which are the scene of various modes of transport vary by industry sector, and, accordingly, can be attributed to criminal offenses, administrative offenses and civil offenses. It is necessary to improve the legislation of the Russian Federation in the area of transport security, as well as the establishment and operation of an integrated system of public safety in transportation.
